i'm still reading Jane Eyre, but i've read a LOT more pages since my last post. Jane has long left the school she was at. She is now about 18 years old or so. Before she left the school, she worked there for a while, as a teacher. She left because she wanted more adventure, and she wanted a greater income. So she set out an ad, and she got one reply, from a woman with a little charge, no relations though. Jane took the job, and became the little girl's governess. She got along with the family well, and they were kind to her, unlike her aunt. She finally met the owner of the house in the last chapter i read. She was walking down to road to mail a letter in another town, and Mr.Rochester, the owner, was on his horse, and he fell down, spraining his ankle. She didn't know it was him, until she went home later, and saw him there.
That's as far as i've gotten. this book is getting boring. =P

Now Reading: Jane Eyre
So, I'm now reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. The story starts with Jane as a 10 year old girl living at her aunt's mansion. She is an orphan, and her uncle took her in, and raised her, and when he died, he made his wife promise to keep Jane, and to take care of her. Jane's aunt, Mrs.Reed, kept her promise, but didn't treat Jane as her own child. Mrs.Reed punished her for things she didn't do, and Jane's cousins always harassed her, and sometimes even beat her until she bled.
Since Jane was so much "trouble" to Mrs.Reed, she sent her to school, Lowood. There, Jane met some nice teachers, but the owner of the school was a pretty mean man. Jane made friends with this girl, Helen Burns. Helen was 14, while Jane was 10, and Jane looked up to her.
Where I am in the book, it is now...I think..April, or May. There was a wave of sickness in the school, and many girls died, including Helen. That's where I am now. Helen JUST DIED.
AAAAAAAAAAAH.
so sad...=[

oh. my. god. (finished go ask alice!)
i repeat. Oh. My. God. WOW. that was. wow. so0. wow. that ending, was so unexpected.
i cant say, it's like, a BIG surprise.
READ THIS BOOK!
Okay. the girl's name isn't Alice, we don't know what her name is, it isn't revealed, because the diary is based on the actual diary of a 15 year old drug abuser. i...i don't know what to say.
wooh. im speechless. i JUST finished the book. i was shocked. really. i don't get shocked so easily.
Okay. So, what happend was, the main character, (im gona call her "the girl") was taking drugs and stuff. She kept trying to stop, but then, somehow, she ended up taking drugs again, then gettin all messed up again. She ran away from home a couple of times, but she would always come back, and try to get her life back together, but people at school would always try to mess her up. i don't wana say anything more, or else i would ruin the story for other people who are going to read it. but im letting you know, get ready for a surprise! =]

Symbolism!

Well. in the book, (still readin Go Ask Alice) i didn't find any symbols. nothing that really represented the story. I found this picture on google, and i thought it represented what's happening in the story right now well. "Alice" had tried so many drugs, just because she was curious, but then she stopped for a while, because she knew it was bad. So even when she banned it from her life, it came back to taunt her, and she ended up taking drugs again, and again. Lets see...she took, pot, LSD, acid, Speed, Heroin, and some other stuff. Most of them i haven't even heard of! So, this symbolizes the story very well, because it shows many drugs, and it's like, banning it, and that's what "Alice" did, she took many drugs, then banned them from her life, but it just came back to taunt her! =[
it sucks that this diary is based on a real diary. i feel sorry for this girl.

Go Ask Alice
Well, i started Go Ask Alice todaY! so far, it's been pretty interesting! i can't really describe the book that much, since i JUST started reading it, but if you want to know more, look at Lizzy's blog! she has a LOT of stuff about this book, like the alice in wonderland video. and the lyrics to that song. there's not really any point in me putting it up if you can just see it on her blog, but i'll consider putting up the lyrics.
So far i've read about how the girl (i guess her name was alice??) and she went through something with this guy at her old school, i don't know what happend, (they didnt say yet!) and now she moved to a new city, because her father got a different job. So she's adjusting and she made a friend, and went to a party, and tried out some LSD, so i guess that's how the whole story starts! because from Lizzy's blog, i can see that the story's about drugs, and drug abuse, and Alice starting talking about drugs. So i can't wait to read more and update later! =)
P.S. valetudinarian << isn't that how i spelled it? and that's correct......or did i spell it valetudenarian? oh well, it was a hard word..=)
